Wool Area Rugs Cleaning Tips
Because you will want your beautiful new wool carpet to last for years to come, here are some “At Home” tips to help you maintain its vibrance over the long haul.
Use items that you are likely to have at home for quick and safe clean up:
Baking soda –blot up with clean dry towel (or dampened with water). Add baking soda (a safe solution for wool rugs) to collect any residual moisture and refresh your rug.
Vinegar – for more challenging stains, vinegar can be added to water and sprayed on the stain, then blot. If the stain involves pet urine or is particularly stubborn, pour vinegar directly on to stain and add baking soda to bubble both stain and odor to the surface. Then blot with clean rag.
