What size should a dining room area rug be?

• That all depends on your space
• A large rug is in proportion to a grand size table
• When the dining space is small or an odd shape a custom size allows for the perfect fit

Tips to Remember

• Don't leave your chairs hanging
• Do allow enough room for the chairs to remain on the rug
• You need at least 24" beyond the table on all sides
• A table for four fits best on a rug that is about 8 feet round or square

• Use masking tape to mark the floor behind each chair
• Measure your marks
• Ideally, the back of the chair should be 24-30 inches from the table
